Worship Minister Search

After much prayer and the hard work of numerous members, elders and staff, the Otter Creek Church is now prepared to begin the public process of looking for the person God is calling to lead our church as Minister of Worship. This is a unique opportunity in a unique congregation requiring a uniquely gifted individual. Those gifts must include: strong leadership and ministry talents; deep understanding of a theology of worship; a headlong pursuit of the presence of God in all of life; a consuming love of people and the church; and a desire to work within and contribute to a ministry team.

We are seeking candidates who are excited enough about this opportunity to walk with us through a rather intensive application process. That process is “formalized” in the sense that we ask all candidates to read, interact with, and fill out similar documents.

We are accepting applications until March 21 and hope to move as quickly as possible to invite leading candidates to meet with us and explore God’s will for a future partnership.

Where Can I Plug In?

In writing to the Galatians, the Apostle Paul wrote “I am in pains until Christ is formed in you.” (Gal. 4.19)

So, what does spiritual formation entail?

Spiritual formation is a rather general term referring to all attempts, means, instructions, and disciplines intended towards deepening of faith and furtherance of spiritual growth. In other words it's our feeble attempt to 'plug-in'.

This includes educational endeavors, small groups, and acts of service, as well as the more intimate and in-depth processes of spiritual direction or guidance. For more information see the ministries box above or click here!
