Melanie has formally
worked in Children's Ministry for five years. Her love of sharing
God's word with children began at an early age, by teaching
Children's Bible classes at the age of 12. She joined the Otter
Creek family in March 2002 as Associate Children's Minister,
and especially enjoys working with music and creative arts.
A native of Little Rock, AR, she received her degree from Harding
University. She has been married to her husband Jay since 1989,
and they have two daughters.

planting seeds in tender hearts! It's challenging, encouraging,
exciting, and also a lot of fun! We are awed by the prospects
of what God can do through the lives of children. David said
it best in the Psalms: 'Since my youth, O God, you have taught
me, and to this day I proclaim your marvelous deeds. Even when
I am old and gray, do not forsake me till I declare your power
to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.'
