Steve and his wife, Magda, worked for 21 years as missionaries in Guatemala. In 2001 Steve and his family returned to Nashville. His present responsibilities are divided between David Lipscomb University and Otter Creek. He chairs the Missions Committee, leads mission teams, teaches classes, and advises the prayer ministry. At David Lipscomb, he teaches courses in Missions and Bible.

| My first love in ministry has always been doing mission work overseas and I was quite frustrated that the circumstance of my youngest daughter's kidnapping and subsequent return had brought us to Nashville in 2001. I was seriously questioning God about why we were in a place where there is a church on every street corner and when it comes to Christian talent, it oozes out of the cracks in the sidewalks. Then I was invited to teach missions a Lipscomb University and work with Otter Creek as their Missionary in Residence. What a blessing both of these ministries have been to me! There are more students and professional adults interested in missions than anything in my memory! Training and equipping these young dynamic singles and couples to work in missions is the next best thing to being overseas yourself!...read more |
